|
|
<p>Los investigadores y profesores se enfrentan a un reto cada vez más
|
|
frecuente a la hora de identificar sus trabajos y actividades académicas
|
|
de aquellos otros con nombres similares. Necesitan tener la
|
|
capacidad de enlazar su identidad de forma sencilla e inequívoca a sus
|
|
trabajos académicos: artículos, libros, citas, comunicaciones en
|
|
congresos, becas y ayudas, patentes, datasets. </p>
|
|
<p>ORCID procura un registro único de identificador para cada
|
|
investigador que sirve de forma transparente como método para enlazar a
|
|
cada persona con sus actividades investigadoras. Un ORCID iD es un
|
|
identificador único y persistente que se mantiene para cada individuo a
|
|
lo largo de toda su carrera, independientemente de las instituciones en
|
|
las que desarrolle su actividad, y aparece con una forma como ésta:
|
|
“<strong>0000-0233-0447-349X</strong>”</p>
|
|
<p>Los registros en ORCID contienen información "no sensible" como el
|
|
nombre, correo electrónico, organización a la que pertenece y
|
|
actividades como publicaciones, premios, patentes y cualquier otra
|
|
producción académica. ORCID procura herramientas para que los usuarios
|
|
puedan gestionar sus datos.</p>
|
|

|
<h2>¿Por qué obtener un identificador ORCID?</h2>
|
|
<p>Los beneficios de obtener un ORCID iD incluyen:</p>
|
|
<ul><li>Asegurar a los investigadores la asociación de sus trabajos con su autoría</li>
|
|
<li>Reducir el tiempo en la identificación en la publicación de trabajos</li>
|
|
<li>Permitir a la institución, organismos financiadores y editores
|
|
llevar un seguimiento de su producción científica y trabajos
|
|
académicos </li>
|
|
<li>Reutilización e integración de sus datos en la generación de los CV,
|
|
repositorios institucionales, repositorios de citas, perfiles de la UZ,
|
|
informes anuales, páginas web de sus facultades, departamentos, grupos
|
|
de investigación o personales (ver “Integración con recursos
|
|
nacionales,” más abajo)</li>
|
|
<li>Enlazando los profesores e investigadores con sus trabajos hará mucho mas fácil y fiable encontrar estos trabajos</li>
|
|
</ul><p>Integración con editores: Elsevier, Thomson Reuters, Nature y
|
|
otros grandes editores han comenzado la integración de los ORCID IDs en
|
|
el proceso de envío de originales, y han incluido los identificadorees
|
|
ORCID en su sistema de tratamiento y gestión de los trabajos
|
|
científico-académicos. Esto permitirá ahorrar tiempo en el proceso
|
|
de envío de manuscritos, permitiendo también una actualización de los
|
|
datos bibliográficos de los autores cuando los artículos sean
|
|
definitivamente publicados. Toda esta información podrá ser incorporada a
|
|
los sistemas de la UZ en el momento en el que el investigador quiera.</p>
|
|
<p>Integración con recursos nacionales: La FECYT se está planteando la
|
|
utilización del nuevo identificador de ORCID en los datos recabados a
|
|
cada investigador e integrados en el CVN utilizado para las
|
|
convocatorias de ayudas y financiación, así como la evaluación
|
|
investigadora.</p>
|
|

|
|
<h2>La UZ es miembro institucional de ORCID</h2>
|
|
<p>Existen una serie de beneficios en el hecho de que la Universidad de
|
|
Zaragoza sea miembro institucional de ORCID y haya creado su registro en
|
|
ORCID:</p>
|
|
<ul><li>Asegura la integración de todos sus miembros sin tener que esperar que cada uno de ellos se dé de alta</li>
|
|
<li>Normaliza los datos básicos e integra unos datos mínimos de cada miembro</li>
|
|
<li>Permite que la institución integre a posterioridad datos de
|
|
producción, biográficos o de otro tipo, siempre con la aprobación de
|
|
cada miembro</li>
|
|
<li>Faculta a la UZ la posibilidad de enlazar dichos datos en ORCID con
|
|
otras plataformas y servicios locales: Repositorio, Sideral ...</li>
|
|
<li>Facilita la correcta identificación de trabajos-autores para todo el conjunto de la UZ, incrementando su visibilidad</li>
|
|
</ul><p>Cuando la Universidad de Zaragoza inició el proceso cargamos los
|
|
nombres, correos electrónicos y unos datos básicos de dirección
|
|
académica de sus profesores e investigadores y así creamos los registros
|
|
ORCID ID. El correo electrónico fue habilitado como "público"
|
|
dentro de ORCID, salvo que estuviera "cegado" en la agenda de la
|
|
universidad, en cuyo caso aparecerá como "limitado" (Para más
|
|
información sobre la privacidad de datos en ORCID consultar <a href="http://support.orcid.org/knowledgebase/articles/124518-orcid-privacy-settings" target="_blank" title="ORCID Privacy Settings">ORCID Privacy Settings</a>).
|
|
Siempre se tiene la capacidad de cambiar estas preferencias - el
|
|
registro ORCID está controlado siempre por el autor, no por la
|
|
Universidad de Zaragoza. </p>
|
|
<h2>¿Cómo obtener un id de ORCID?</h2>
|
|
<p>ORCID exige que sean los propios autores los que se den de alta en
|
|
ORCID. Sin embargo, el hecho de que la Universidad de Zaragoza sea
|
|
miembro institucional nos permite que ese proceso se pueda iniciar desde
|
|
la UZ y así ciertos datos institucionales pueden integrarse
|
|
automáticamente en ORCID.</p>
|
|

<p>Ahí podrá comprobar si ya tiene un número ORCID, y si no se le ofrece

la posibilidad de iniciar el proceso de solicitud, que una vez

finalizado integrará el nuevo número ORCID en su perfil investigador</p>
